On the rise: Baton Rouge gas prices increase 5.7 cents per gallon this week


Baton Rouge gas prices rose an average of 5.7 cents per gallon over the last week, making the average price per gallon $2.09 per gallon in the city.

Despite this increase, GasBuddy determined that this week’s average price is still 7 cents per gallon lower than prices were last month.

The lowest price in Baton Rouge, $1.93 per gallon, isn’t far from the lowest national price, $1.75. The most expensive price in the city is $2.96 per gallon, while the most expensive price per gallon in the nation is a staggering $98.15, according to GasBuddy.

GasBuddy conducts a daily survey of 361 stations to gather its station-level data.
