One dead, another injured in two separate shootings

BATON ROUGE, La. (NBC Local 33)(Fox 44) – Two shootings in Baton Rouge have left one person dead, and another in critical condition Saturday afternoon.

A Baton Rouge Police Department spokesperson says the first shooting happened in the 2100 block of North Sherwood Forest around 2:30 p.m. The shooting ended up taking the life of a man.

The second one occurred around 3:50 p.m. in the 5300 block of Underwood Avenue.

BRPD says the victim, a woman, is in the hospital with life threatening injuries.

It’s unclear if the two shootings are related.
