Parkview Baptist has a new head football coach as the school gets ready for the 2019 season.

Stefan LeFors has taken the job as the Eagles coach after Jay Mayet stepped down in early January.

A Baton Rouge native, LeFors comes home to the Capital Ciy after serving as head coach of the Christian Academy of Louisville. LeFors compiled an 86-20 record during his time at Christian Academy, with seven district championships. He also led the school to two of the last three state championships in Kentucky.

LeFors graduated from Christian Life Academy in Baton Rouge back in 2000, where he played quarterback before going on to play for the University of Louisville where he was named First Team All-Conference USA. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers, and went on to play for the Edmonton Eskimos and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Canadian Football League.

LeFors also served on the football staff for the University of Louisville after his professional career.
