Pennington Biomedical Research Center looking for participants in new exercise study

News

The Pennington Biomedical Research Center is looking for participants in a new study examining the impacts of exercise on molecular and cellular levels.

The MotorPAC study is looking at how exercise changes the body on the molecular and cellular levels, which could change the face of exercise. The results of the study could mean being able to tailor exercise to an individual – not just a generic routine for the masses.

Pennington is one of 23 centers participating in the study nationwide.

They are looking for 300+ participants at Pennington, both a blend of those who have sedentary lifestyles as well as those who have active lifestyles. (They need more sedentary than the active). Must be at least 18 years of age.

It is a 12 week study, participants could earn up to $1500 for partaking.

For more information on the study, visit here or call 225-763-3000.
