Perkins Rowe event supports maternal health in developing country

BATON ROUGE, La. (WVLA/WGMB) — The non-profit, Hands Producing Hope, will host a wellness and wine event tonight in Perkins Rowe to benefit maternal health education in Rwanda.

The event begins at 7 p.m. and runs through 10 p.m. with ticket prices starting at $29, which are available at the door. The event will be hosted next door to Kendra Scott and across the street from Sur La Table.

Hands Producing Hope is a Baton Rouge non-profit that brings opportunity, education and hope to disadvantaged women around the world. Items sold at Lighthouse Coffee on Highland Rd. and online are handmade by refugee women from Baton Rouge, Costa Rica and Rwanda, according to a press release.
