HARVEY, La. (WDSU) — The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office has provided new details about a homicide that happened last week in Harvey.
According to Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joseph Lopinto, around 7 p.m. on Friday deputies were dispatched to the 3700 block of Chadwood Drive in reference to a shooting.
When deputies arrived they found a man shot to death inside a home.
Robert Green, 22, was arrested on a manslaughter charge the night of the incident. Green’s father was the victim in the incident, according to JPSO.
After an autopsy was completed Monday on Green’s father.
JPSO confirmed that evidence from the autopsy contradicted what Green said happened.
Further investigation revealed that an altercation happened between the father and son over Chinese food, according to JPSO.
JPSO said Green’s charges were upgraded to second-degree murder.
