BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) —  The incoming and outgoing governors met at the Louisiana Governor’s mansion to discuss the transition on Monday, Nov. 20.

Gov. John Bel Edwards, First Lady Donna Edwards, Governor-elect Jeff Landry and future First Lady Sharon Landry talked about life at the mansion, and the day-to-day demands of the roles.

Gov. Edwards said he was happy to visit with the incoming couple to let them know what to expect.

“There are many unique aspects to serving as Louisiana’s First Family and we want to be a resource to Jeff and Sharon,” he said.

“After eight years serving as governor and first lady, they are a wealth of knowledge and a great resource for me and Sharon,” said Governor-Elect Landry.

Landry will be sworn in Jan. 8.
