Postal service issues deadlines for Christmas deliveries


COLUMBUS (WCMH) — While Christmas is still more than a month away, the U.S. Postal Service wants to make sure you know the deadlines for sending packages before the holiday.

The USPS issued the following deadlines:

  • Dec. 9 — gifts to an Air or Army post, a Fleet post office, or a diplomatic office
  • Dec. 14 — retail ground deliveries
  • Dec. 20 — cards and packages under 16 ounces
  • Dec. 21 — priority mail
  • Dec. 23 — priority mail express
