BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Non-profit Rescue Alliance, will host a drive-thru pet food bank to provide dog and cat food to those families impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
The pet food bank is made possible through a Covid-19 emergency grant from Alley Cat Allies, which is covering all cat food. Nearly 1,000 pounds of dog food was donated by Tractor Supply Company of Gonzales.
The pet food bank begins at noon on Wednesday, April 22 in the Winn Dixie parking lot, adjacent to Raising Cane’s, 17696 Airline Hwy.
People are asked to stay in their vehicle for the safety of the community and those operating the pet food bank.
Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc. and its subsidiaries also donated dog and cat food from its disaster relief fund.
