A foster puppy was picked up and carried away by an owl Friday morning in Arizona.

Fox 10 reports the 12-week-old pup, named Latte, was in the family’s Scottsdale yard along with three other dogs when an owl scooped it up and flew away.

Twelve hours later, golfers at Troon Golf Club found the injured dog, dehydrated and weak, under a tree near the 16th hole. They were reunited thanks to a missing dog post on NextDoor.

ABC 15 reports the suffered no broken bones, but puncture wounds from the owl’s talons are visible in its skull.
