HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (BRPROUD) – Many of us will never look at Windex the same way again after watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
The 2002 movie helped make Michael Constantine a household name as the dad who believed Windex could cure minor physical maladies.
Constantine played the family patriarch, Gus Portokalos.
The Pennsylvania born actor had a long and distinguished acting career spanning from 1959 until 2016.
Constantine won a Primetime Emmy in 1970 and the Golden Satellite Award in 2003.
One of Constantine’s co-stars in My Big Fat Greek Wedding paid tribute to the actor on Twitter:
Michael Constantine, the dad to our cast-family, a gift to the written word, and always a friend. Acting with him came with a rush of love and fun. I will treasure this man who brought Gus to life. He gave us so much laughter and deserves a rest now. We love you Michael. 🇬🇷 pic.twitter.com/PV0sIBtaUX— Nia Vardalos (@NiaVardalos) September 9, 2021
