BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A library in East Baton Rouge (EBR) Parish is scheduled for a renovation in the Spring of 2023.

Locals of all ages are invited to learn exactly what the upcoming redesign process will involve by attending an open house at the library.

The event is slated to take place at the branch (7373 Scenic Highway) Tuesday, September 20 from 2-4 p.m. and 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The experts who will be on hand to explain the process and answer questions include members of the architectural team and library staff.

This will not be the Scotlandville Branch’s first redesign, it was originally built in 1974 and rebuilt in 2001.

The branch currently has a book collection of 100,000 volumes and seating for 150 patrons.
