The New Orleans Saints have secured a deal with their backup quarterback, according to the NFL Network.
Dianna Russini confirmed Thursday that Teddy Bridgewater would sign with the Saints.
Bridgewater spent Wednesday with the Miami Dolphins as they tried one more time to secure a deal with him.
He decided that The Who Dat Nation is where he belonged.
Coincidentally, 13 years ago Drew Brees faced a similar dilemma, ultimately signing with the Saints in 2006.
A former first-round draft pick out of the University of Louisville, Bridgewater started his career with the Minnesota Vikings and led them to the playoffs before suffering a serious knee injury that almost ended his career in 2016.
The Saints traded for Bridgewater last year.
He served as Brees’ backup quarterback but only played three games during the season.
