Ruptured gas line closes intersection in Baton Rouge


BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The St. George Fire Department was called to a reported gas leak at the intersection of Hollyfield Dr. and Cloverland Ave. on Monday morning.

A Facebook post was made around 11 a.m. about a ruptured gas line and the intersection remains closed at this time.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office and Entergy are assisting the St. George Fire Department at the scene.

The gas leak has been stopped and the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office remains on scene.

Entergy will have to return to the scene of this ruptured gas line in the future to make further repairs.

We will let you know when traffic is allowed to flow through this area again.
