NEW ORLEANS, La. (WDSU) –
Linebacker Demario Davis has been one of the leaders for the New Orleans Saints defense the last two years, and now he is leading the charge off the field for something much bigger.
Davis is committed to helping the hospitality industry in Southeast Louisiana during the coronavirus pandemic.
He is working with United Way of Southeast Louisiana to match donations to the Hospitality Cares Pandemic Response Fund up to $25,000.

“I just wanted to kind of come on and find a way that my wife and I could just help be a solution to the problem. I think it’s a time where we all have to come together, we all have a part we can play. You understand a lot of these people live off of their tips and if people aren’t coming in they’re not getting those tips.
Them trying to retain the salary isn’t going to maintain them,” Davis said.
