Salvation Army of Greater Baton Rouge hosting community Turkey Drive


With Thanksgiving less than three weeks away, the Salvation Army is helping the Baton Rouge community through a meal outreach program. 

According to the Salvation Army, this turkey drive aims to “collect 125 uncooked frozen turkeys for a Thanksgiving meal outreach in the North Baton Rouge – Brookstown area, South Baton Rouge, Gardere area and Ascension Parish.”

The goal is to serve thousands of Thanksgiving meals in those areas and the collection of the meals takes place on Saturday, November 9 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
