Sunday: Southerly winds will return by Sunday, which means it won’t be as pleasant on Sunday. Also, there is the chance for a scattered showers. Rain chance is around 60-70% on Sunday, but the best chance for rain will be south of I-10.
Monday: Showers and thunderstorms will be present on Monday. Temperatures will be stay in low 80s due to thick cloud cover and high rain chances.
Next Week: A disturbance may move in to our west and southwest. Rain chances are around 50-60% each day with highs in the mid 80s. Heavy rain may be a concern. See the Tracking the Tropics discussion below. Mornings will be near 70.
Tracking the Tropics: A disturbance is expected to move into the southern Gulf in the next few days. The National Hurricane Center gives it a high chance for development once it moves into the western and southwestern Gulf. Whether it develops or not, it may move toward Texas and Louisiana, which means it will bring heavy rain to the northwestern Gulf Coast by early next week. We’re watching closely.(toss to break)
