Scotlandville Scuffle: investigation underway following a fight after the homecoming game

Back to business on the gridiron after a fight broke out on that very field last Friday.

Video from Friday night shows who some people said are Scotlandville staff members involved in a fight.

According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, they were dispatched to the school shortly after 7:30 p.m. for a disturbance.

Once there, video shows them breaking up a brawl on the field.

Members of the coaching staff said, Friday night during their homecoming game, there was an altercation between a group of women.

They said, it quickly escalated when the group and a man made their way to the side line and before they knew it, punches were flying.

Video shows a man in a yellow shirt being knocked to the ground by a man wearing a white shirt and black hat.

A different angle shows what appears to be a punch, then a group of men wearing similar black and white outfits, surround him.

Video recorded by photojournalist, Ariana Triggs, shows men dressed in similar clothing on the sideline with the team, just before halftime.

The East Baton Rouge School District said, “the district and the sheriff’s office are conducting investigations.”

When asked about the case, the sheriff’s office said, they anticipate an arrest in the case, they just have not been made yet.
