Update: man rescued after falling from boat on Spanish Lake

Update: Ascension Parish, La. (LOCAL 33/FOX) – A man has been rescued after he fell from a boat on Spanish Lake.

Crews with the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries said two guys were on a boat. Around 5:20 p.m. Monday, they hit a stump and one of the guys was ejected .

Crews were able to rescue him from the water. They took him back to the boat dock.

He was taken to Our Lady of the Lake. His injuries are unknown.

Ascension Parish, La. (LOCAL 33/FOX 44) – The search is on for a person thrown from a boat on Spanish Lake.

Crews with the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries say three people were on the boat Monday evening when one of them was ejected.

Crews are hoping to find the person, especially with temperatures expected to take a tumble overnight Monday into Tuesday morning.
