WASHINGTON (BRPROUD) — Senator John Kennedy announces that Federal Emergency Management Appropriations (FEMA) will be allocating $16.2 million for Louisiana parishes that were damaged by Hurricane Ida.

“This FEMA funding of over $16 million will help Louisiana clear and monitor debris while repairing Louisiana’s facilities that were left in disarray in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida,” Kennedy says.

Lafourche Parish and St. Tammany Parish will be receiving those funds for repairs and debris removal.
