Sights and sounds of LSU football take over Baton Rouge hours before home opener


BATON ROUGE, La. (NBC Local 33) (FOX 44) — The sights and sounds of ‘Tiger Town’ can be seen throughout the Capital City as fans gear up for another season of LSU football.

August 31 will mark the first day that fans can buy wine and beer in Tiger Stadium. Crews with Aramark, the company in charge of food and beverage, could be seen moving ice, stocking beer and testing draft lines hours before the game.

Meanwhile, the Bengal Belles booster club held its only luncheon of the season at L’Auberge Casino Thursday. LSU athletic director Scott Woodward and head football coach Ed Orgeron were the guest speakers in front of a sold-out crowd.

Walk-On’s Bistreaux and Bar is the official sports restaurant of LSU athletics for 2019-20. The locally-owned restaurant chose its first winner of the ‘Walk to Death Valley’ promotion. People can learn more about the promotion and enter for a chance to win by visiting here.
