Southern and LSU preparing for a busy football weekend

Gearing up before the teams take the gridiron. Southern and LSU are putting your safety first.

“The law enforcement officers are going to be out here.”

Anticipating Saturday’s kick-offs, university officials say, they are ready to assist as needed but also need your help.

“Parents should be very vigilant and observant of their children.”

Both teams bring thousands of fans to the capital city, causing traffic nightmares.

“We’re going to also have our parking and transportation staff out there.”

The capital area transit system said, fans who plan to ditch their rides for a lift with public transportation should be aware of the changes.

But for the brave fans who plan to push their own wheels.

“Get here early to get a great parking spot and we still have a 10 dollar fee on parking.”

Once you’re all set on campus, ready to enjoy some football fun. The last thing you should remember, the stadiums policies that are in place.

“We are on a clear bag policy we can’t allow any weapons or noise makers of any kind into the stadiums. Umbrellas or anything of that nature
