The Southern University Ag Center will host its Fall Garden Workshop to provide teachers, community garden coordinators, backyard gardeners and anyone else interested in gardening with information and hands-on demonstrations on how to prepare a fall garden.
This is the eighth year SU is putting on the event, and it will take place Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the M.A. Edmond Livestock Arena Multipurpose Building located at 14600 Scenic Highway in Baton Rouge.
Topics that will be covered at the workshop include canning and preserving vegetables, cottage food laws and regulations and vegetable grafting and hydroponics.
In addition to experiencing the hands-on demonstrations, attendees will be able to interact with the workshop’s speakers and network with one another.
