A Southern University alumnus and R&B artist will have his debut performance at the University’s homecoming concert Thursday at 7 p.m. at the F.G. Clark Activity Center on campus.
Singer Keith Jacobs received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in business administration from the University, where he served as the president of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.
“It is an honor and privilege to be back on campus to perform at Southern’s Homecoming concert,” Jacobs said. “This is exciting, and the University has been an important part of my growth and development from an educational and artistic perspective.”
The Houston native’s music includes subtle influences from both Houston and the bayou.
Other acts who will perform include Dolph, Lil Baby, Young Nudy, Demmic, Ambjaay, Ari Lennox, Deemic and Sherwood Marty.
