One South Louisiana Church celebrated Easter Sunday, bringing people together, while enabling them to stay safely apart.
The Church International in St. Amant held a “Drive-in” Easter service at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales this morning. People who attended the service were able to remain in their vehicles, while tuning in to a specially designated F-M radio station where they would hear the praise and worship and an the Easter message they were seeing live on stage.
Pastor Mark Stermer says it’s a way to come together while still keeping everyone safe with social distancing.
The Drive-In service isn’t just for Easter either. The Church International plans to host these services until the end of the stay at home order. And for those who can’t attend, their services are also on online. For more information on service times and Drive-In Service locations, head to their website, by clicking here.
