BRPD identifies suspect in standoff on Monet Dr.

UPDATE:

The suspect in the standoff that took place in the 600 block of Monet Dr. is in custody.

BRPD said, 37-year-old Keandre Washington was arrested “in connection with an incident that occurred on December 22, 2019 in the same complex where he was arrested.”

Washington is facing these charges:

  • Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
  • Possession of Firearm by Person Convicted of Certain Felonies along with a Probation and Parole warrant.

ORIGINAL:

For the second day in a row, authorities are responding to a standoff in Baton Rouge.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, “preliminary information is that we are in the 600 block of Monet with a male subject barricaded in a residence. He is believed to have felony charges against him.”
