BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Voting wrapped up earlier this evening and results have come in to reveal the winner of a seat on the First Circuit Court of Appeals.

A Louisiana State Representative and a District Judge have both been vying for the role.

Tanner Magee and Steven Miller are the two candidates, and BRProud has just learned that Steve Miller (REP) won the election with 61.52 percent of the votes while Tanner Magee (REP) earned 38.48 percent.
