The festival promotes the work of students and alumni from universities statewide, according to LSU Theatre Managing Artistic Director Vastine Stabler.

Film panels of industry professionals and festivals judges will take place Saturday, May 2. The film screening will take place on Sunday, May 3, and judges will reveal award winners for best directing, cinematography, actress/actor, editor, production design and writer.

Participants will also have a shot to win an Audience Choice Award or an award for the best alumni film.

An undergraduate film will be eligible to win a $250 prize, Stabler wrote.

The last day to reserve a spot at the festival is Friday, April 17. Tickets for alumni and non-students are $10, and all students and festival directors get in free.
