Suicide Prevention Summit this Friday in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, LA (LOCAL33) (FOX44) – The Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs 2nd Annual Suicide Prevention Summit is set for this weekend in Baton Rouge.

Friday, September 13 LDVA will host a summit focusing on suicide prevention.

The goal of the summit is to increase understanding of suicide, its prevalence, risk factors for veterans and assist those in need by providing tools for prevention, assessment and intervention.

This event is open to the public or anyone in need of help.

The summit is from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at American Legion Post #38.
