Labor Day : Expected start out sunny day with increasing clouds. We’ll have showers and thunderstorms across our DMA for most of the evening, and overnight. A Heat Advisory is in effect for tomorrow. It won’t be as humid but still very hot and dangerous for those without power.
Tuesday: Showers and thunderstorms will be possible mainly in the afternoon, but mostly sunny early during the day. Highs will be in the upper 80s.
We’ll have plenty of showers in the early part of the week before drying by the end of the week. Daily rain chances will be possible. Highs will be in the lower 90s.
Tracking the Tropics: Larry is now a hurricane in the open Atlantic. It will likely curve out to sea, but this could change. There is a weak area of low pressure in the Caribbean, but it has a 30% chance of development. Still bears watching. No imminent threats to Louisiana as of right now.
