BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – During the first weekend in August and the final weekend before the start of school, kids and those who are kids at heart appeared to thoroughly enjoy the 5th Annual Mid City Micro-Con.

The big event was held Saturday (August 6) and Sunday (August 7)at the Main Library on Goodwood Boulevard, and came to a close with a much-anticipated cosplay competition.

Around 6 p.m., the runway was set and awaiting its stars, a series of locals dressed as their favorite superheroes and villains.

It didn’t take long until the march of cosplay competitors was in full swing, with some participants waving to the crowds while others glowered and appeared menacing as they took to the makeshift runway.

Whether good or evil, most contestants fully embodied their characters throughout the competition.
