Suspect faces murder charge in deadly shooting on N. 40th St.

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – 23-year-old Darrius Dixon is facing one count of 2nd Degree Murder in connection with a deadly shooting on January 13.

26-year-old Trenton Jones was shot and killed on N. 40th St.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, “Dixon was arrested on May 18, 2021 in Michigan by the U.S. Marshals for an arrest warrant and extradited back to Baton Rouge.”

Dixon is currently in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
