Suspect wanted in connection to Hammond trailer fire arrested

Ponchatoula native Mark “Tookie” Lee, 18 has been arrested in connection to a fire set to a manufactured home in Hammond, LA.

Lee was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on Jan. 14 on one count of aggravated arson for his alleged participation in the setting of a fire on the 43000 block of Baham Lane in Hammond, LA.

The Hammond Fire Department responded to the fire call on Oct. 21, 2019. The SFM was contacted for assistance in the investigation after firefighters learned new information pertaining to the suspicious nature of the fire.

Video evidence and witness statements lead to the arrest of Lee in connection to the crime.
