BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A new Tik Tok challenge is set to begin on Friday, Oct. 1.

The challenge is called, “Slap Your Teacher.”

According to the online publication Distractify, the newest Tik Tok Challenge asks students “to calmly walk up to their teachers, slap them, and then run off, making sure that they capture the whole thing on camera.”

Reaction on Twitter to the “Slap A Teacher Challenge” has been swift.

This newest trend follows the “devious licks” challenge which led to the stealing of items from schools.

Some teachers and students are reacting to the “Slap A Teacher Challenge” with a more wholesome challenge called “#devioussips.”

With over 2 million views, this challenge is looking to bring a smile to the face of teachers everywhere.

According to Scary Mommy, “The #DeviousSips trend encourages kids to surprise their teachers with some school supplies and their favorite beverage.”

BRProud is awaiting response from local law enforcement and school districts about the “Slap A Teacher Challenge.”
