Teen charged with murder in connection with May shooting on Convention Street

Baton Rouge police charged a teen with murder for a shooting from May.

Investigators said 18-year-old Amaiah Sheppard was arrested for the shooting death of 47-year-old Robert Davis.

Davis was found shot in the yard of 1255 Convention Street around 5:00 a.m. That is where he died.

Police said they are still trying to find a motive for this shooting.

Sheppard was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for 2nd Degree Murder.
