A Raleigh 18-year-old faces felony charges after investigators say he cracked a safe and stole tens of thousands of dollars worth of gold bars and silver coins, court documents show.
Brandon Michael Manchester is charged with breaking into a residence near Sawmill Road in late January and early February, warrants show.
Manchester cracked a safe at that residence and stole gold bars and silver coins with a value of close to $60,000 combined, court documents say.
He is also accused of stealing an iPad.
Manchester was arrested Tuesday and charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, and felony safecracking, court documents say.
He’s being held under a $12,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
