BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A son is accused of shooting his father in Baton Rouge.
A 12-year-old is charged with attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon after a shooting left a man with injuries on Monday, March 6.
The shooting took place a little before 3:25 p.m. at the Warwick Apartments located at 8001 Jefferson Highway. An argument led to the shooting, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department. The shooting victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
BRPD said the child was booked into the East Baton Rouge Juvenile Detention Center.
