The Louisiana Weekly endorses Sheriff Marlin Gusman for re-election

NEW ORLEANS, La (BRPROUD)- Louisiana Weekly, a locally owned newspaper since 1925 has announced the endorsement of the New Orleans Parish Sheriff Office Marlin N. Gusman. The news was announced in a press release on Tuesday, November, 2.

A spokesperson for the Lousiana Weekly stated, “Gusman has become a model Sheriff, and deserves another term.”

According to the press release, Gusman while under the scrutiny of a Federal Consent Decree has built quality mental health facilities for his inmates and reduced the overall prisoner population by hundreds.
