WEST BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Ranging from exhibits and kid-friendly events to workshops and lectures, the West Baton Rouge Museum is a cultural hub for Port Allen Cultural Arts District. It’s hosting multiple events throughout March.

All events are free and open to the public, but the spacing is limited. Please call 225-336-2422.

Baton Rouge artist Randell Henry will host a free collage workshop for aspiring artists to educate them on alternative methods of creating collages from 10:00 a.m. to noon, Saturday, March 11.

The museum’s monthly Old Time Jam will take place from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, March 12.

Enjoy musical selections by Lazarro Nettles and Friends during Historical Happy Hour from 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 17.

Children ages 8-12 are invited to learn different styles of clay working with Philip Louis at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18.

Students will have the opportunity to showcase their artwork in the museum at the Talented Student Art Exhibition set to run March 25 through April 8.
