Three people were killed in a single-vehicle crash in Lafourche Parish Monday, including a 2-year-old girl, Louisiana State Police said.

Troopers said the vehicle was found submerged in Bayou Lafourche and the occupants, 37-year-old Michael Barthelemy of Galliano, 2-year-old Trisha Barthelemy of Galliano, and 17-year-old Zackary Cheramie of Golden Meadow, were unable to get out of the vehicle.

LSP said a preliminary investigation shows Barthelemy was traveling on Hwy 308 just before midnight on Monday when he ran off of the roadway and crashed into Bayou Lafourche.

Troopers said Michael and Trisha Barthelemy were both properly restrained. Cheramie was not restrained during the crash.
