Three more arrests made in connection with shooting in parking lot on LSU campus

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Thirteen days ago, LSU Police were called to the scene of a shooting at the LSU Main Campus – Spruce Hall North Lot.

An investigation ensued and the first of four suspects was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail.

Zora Scott spent one day in jail before being released on $50,000 bond.

Scott is facing one count of Second Degree Murder.

Five days after Scott was released from prison, three other suspects have been arrested in connection with this late night shooting.

20-year-old Rechard Kelly, 20-year-old Ricky Earl Kelly III and 20-year-old Tedrick Tyrick Owens were are booked into the East Baton Rouge Prison on August 8.

All three are facing one count of Attempted First Degree Murder.

According to the affidavit, “the victims were at LSU relative to the sale of a vehicle.”

An argument ensued and shots were fired by a driver and passenger who exited a burgundy sedan.

Despite around six shots being fired, the victims were not hurt in this shooting.

Further investigation led investigators to determine that the burgundy sedan was owned by Tedrick Tyrick Owens.
