BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Zoo has been popular among locals for the past 52 years.
As home to over 800 animals from around the world and a family-friendly community-focused organization that hosts numerous events, the zoo is well-liked for a slew of reasons.
And in the upcoming months, there are at least three very special reasons to pay multiple visits to BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo.
Reason #1: The Wednesday Afternoon Discount
According to the Zoo’s website, every Wednesday afternoon between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., guests can purchase tickets to enter the zoo at a steep discount, only $1.50 per person (plus tax).
The visit will be short and sweet as the zoo closes at either 4 or 5 p.m. most Wednesdays, but that’s still long enough for guests to peruse the habitats of their favorite animals.
Reason #2: This October, adults are invited to ‘Brew At The Zoo’
The Baton Rouge Zoo is hosting its annual ‘Brew at the Zoo‘ event October 7, which allows guests to sample their favorite craft beers and snacks while enjoying the tunes of local musicians.
Reason #3: Families will love this year’s ‘Boo at the Zoo’ event
The month of October is filled with memorable events at the capital area Zoo, including its family-friendly ‘Boo at the Zoo’ event on October 22, 23, 29, and 30.
Families are invited to dress up in their favorite costumes as they participate in traditional fall and Halloween-themed activities. Amid the fun and games, photo opportunities and refreshments will be on hand.
The three events listed above are just a few reasons to add a visit to the zoo to your calendar this fall.
