BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to the Tiger Tire Shop on 4415 Plank Rd. a little before 12:45 a.m. on Monday, June 1.
BRFD says, “firefighters arrived to find fire on the outside of the building.”
Firefighters immediately went to work putting the fire out and were able to extinguish the fire in a little over 25 minutes.
Thanks to the efforts of firefighters, the fire was contained for the most part to the outside of the Tiger Tire Shop.
According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, “the building has heavy fire damage to the outside.”
The structure sustained $1 million in damages.
BRPD. EMS and Entergy assisted the Baton Rouge Fire Department at the scene.
No one was hurt during or after the fire.
The investigation into this fire remains ongoing.
