Baton Rouge leaders are moving forward on the MovEBR project. Wednesday, the East Baton Rouge Parish Metro Council approved contracts for Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome’s MovEBR plan. Back in December of 2018 voters agreed to pay for the project through a half-cent sales tax increase over the next 30 years. Now, the city has completed negotiations with firms Stantec and CSRS to perform the work. Council members voted 7-4 for the approval.
