BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Capital area streets are busy on the day before Thanksgiving.

On Wednesday, November 23, multiple pockets of congestion and a few accidents are contributing to delays in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.

A running list of traffic incidents will be updated throughout the afternoon and evening.

The most recent incidents are at the top of the list, which can be found below:

  • 7:57 p.m.- Crash with injuries at Hooper Road and South Blackwater Road
  • 6:25 p.m. – Congestion from I-10 West at I-10/12 until Bluebonnet exit.
  • 6:18 p.m. – Crash with injuries at Stoney Creek Avenue and S. Staring Lane.
  • 6:16 p.m.- Hit & run at I-12 E at Airline Hwy exit.
  • 5:11 p.m.- Congestion at I-10 West near Mississippi River Bridge & St. Ferdinand exit.
  • 2:10 p.m. – Crash along I-12 West near the Sherwood Forest and Drusilla-Jefferson exits
  • 1: 40 p.m. – Crash at Bluebonnet at Cal Road
  • 12:51 p.m.- Crash on I-10 West at Dalrymple Drive exit
  • 12:43 p.m. – Congestion from an incident on I-10 West on the Mississippi River Bridge.
  • 11:56 a.m.- Crash at intersection of Perkins Road and Siegen Lane
