PRAIRIEVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) – A two-month investigation led to the arrest of three men from Prairieville on drug and weapon charges.

David Bryant, 52, Mason Hebert, 48 and Jody Melugin, 51 were arrested on Tuesday, April 19, and all three remain behind bars in the Ascension Parish Jail.

It all started when the APSO narcotics division was tipped off about possible illegal drug activity at a home on Miller Rd.

Detectives were able to obtain a search warrant for the home and a subsequent search uncovered drugs and weapons.

All three suspects were at the home when the search took place.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is providing a rundown of each suspect and the charges they face below:

David Bryant, 52:

  • Possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine
  • Possession with intent to distribute Heroin
  • Possession with intent to distribute Marijuana
  • Distribution of heroin
  • Illegal carrying of weapons
  • Possession of a firearm by convicted felon
  • Possession of an unregistered weapon

Mason Hebert, 48:

  • Possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine
  • Possession with intent to distribute amphetamine
  • Possession with intent to distribute Heroin
  • Possession with intent to distribute Marijuana
  • Possession with intent to distribute suboxone
  • Three-counts of possession of legend drugs
  • Illegal carry of weapons
  • Possession of drug Paraphernalia

Jody Melugin, 51:

  • Possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine
  • Possession with intent to distribute amphetamine
  • Possession with intent to distribute Heroin
  • Possession with intent to distribute Marijuana
  • Possession with intent to distribute suboxone
  • Possession with intent to distribute legend drugs
  • Possession of firearm by convicted felon
  • Illegal carry of weapons

The investigation remains open and APSO says more arrests are possible in this case.
