BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office was notified about a possible case of domestic violence on Wednesday, April 20.

A member of EBRSO made contact with the alleged victim.

The victim stated that she was beaten by Rayvon Terrell Scott, 31, of Baton Rouge, at a home on McNeil Ave.

This allegedly took place on Saturday, April 16.

The unidentified victim said that while getting ready in the bathroom, she noticed that another woman was contacting Scott via social media.

After confronting Scott about this, the alleged abuse of the victim ensued including being punched in the face, thrown to the ground and dragged around the house.

In this instance, the victim claims Scott choked her too and then left the home to go to a family event.

The affidavit states that the victim suffered a broken nose and showed signs of abuse on her face and neck.

Scott and the victim had been “dating” since December of 2021.

According to the victim, this is not the first time that Scott abused her since they started dating.

The first time abuse allegedly took place was during a trip to California.

According to the affidavit, “the victim stated during this incident, the accused punched her, choked her, threw her out of the truck, and put a gun to her head.”

The victim said Scott also destroyed the windshield of the vehicle.

The second incidence of abuse allegedly took place in January of this year.

The duo left Spanky’s and the victim was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Scott.

The victim allegedly asked to get out of the car because she thought Scott was too drunk to drive.

According to the affidavit, the victim was subsequently punched and choked by Scott.

Damage was also allegedly done to the victim’s vehicle by Scott.

The investigator stated that Rayvon Terrell Scott is a truck driver.

The investigation led the investigator to seek an arrest warrant in this case.

The 25-year-old was booked into and released from the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Monday, May 9.

Scott is charged with one count of Battery of a Dating Partner.
