PHOENIX – There is a new study out that says about 95% of Americans hate mornings.

According to a recent Ipsos survey by the Sargento cheese company, 95% of Americans hate getting up in the morning. If you’ve ever hit the snooze button one time too many, here’s looking at you. Apparently 43% “despise” the sound of their alarm clock and 39% of people self identify as “slow risers.” So, who are these five percenters?

The survey basically breaks down different sleeping patterns using methods such as experimental v. controlled studies and scientific research based upon common sleeping habits.

Turns out you need at least 7 hours of sleep to promote mental health and well-being. Science says, 1 in 3 adults don’t get enough sleep which can lead to all sorts of bad habits.

For example, if you eat after 7PM, sleep less than 7 hours a night and snooze your alarm, consider yourself a part of the 95% club.

And if you stick to a schedule, wake up on time without an alarm clock and eat a healthy breakfast to start your day, well congratulations, you’re a “5-percenter.”

It’s not based on preference but based on habit!
