BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Members of LSU’s Campus Life are going to be busy on Friday, August 20.

From 9:30 a.m. through 12 p.m., students from LSU are going to take part in the Stripes and Campus Life Community Bound program.

According to the City of Baton Rouge, “Twenty students will complete landscaping and gardening tasks under the supervision of the Jewel J. Newman Community Center staff.”

Friday morning’s event is a collaboration between Louisiana State University’s Campus Life and the Jewel J. Newman Community Center.

90 minutes after the start of the service event at the Jewel J. Newman Community Center, LSU Campus Life is holding a volunteer fair on campus.

According to the City of Baton Rouge, “The fair is an opportunity for LSU students to see what volunteer opportunities are available and give organizations the opportunity to recruit volunteers.”

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, come by the LSU Faculty Club between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
