BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A man and woman have been charged with child sex trafficking. According to Baton Rouge Police, a 12-year-old girl said she was picked up near Winbourne Avenue around July 25.

Arianna Smith, 19 faces charges of trafficking of children for sexual purposes and pornography involving juveniles. Jonathan White, 35, was charged with charged with trafficking of children for sexual purposes.

The 12-year-old told police “that she ran away from home and was later picked up by Smith and White between July 19 and July 23,” according to the affidavit. The girl was reportedly taken to Port Allen, where she was allegedly forced to have sex. White allegedly told Smith to record a video of the child having sex with him. White is accused of sending that video to others, according to the affidavit.

Smith and White were booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Wednesday, July 26.

Smith’s bond was set at $100,000 and White’s was set at $50,000.
